Working to Equip Rural Subsistence Farmers

We Can Africa™ is working to develop an innovative and cost effective way for families to access and use large amounts of rainwater by harvesting the water in giant irrigation ponds. Team member Will Rainey, 21-year old son of DR GUIDE publishers Kathy & Tommy Rainey, is building a pump that will literally "unlock" up to 200,000 liters of water for irrigating crops during the dry season and frequent droughts. The water delivered by Will's pump will help guarantee a family's food security and dramatically increase their income by enabling them to farm year-round.
