Work Away From Work: Be sure your business continuity plan considers the increase in remote work

Now that the initial rush to shift operations to work from home has passed for most businesses, some experts are looking ahead as to what this transition means in terms of long term business continuity.

An article in ITProPortal covers off some of the main areas to concentrate resources and attention on when establishing permanent work from home systems during Covid-19.

Among them are:

Automation and VPNs: With busy IT departments, automated threat reporting and other resources that do not require the direct intervention of IT staff can be helpful in managing limited resources, says the article. Similarly, getting employees to use VPNs can add a layer of security without diverting IT resources

Education: Employees may require training in order to recognize sophisticated phishing scams.

Accountability: Track your cybersecurity measures and make it a C-suite priority.
