In a time of confusion, the spread of false information is dangerous. Apple, Google, and Amazon have restricted or blocked apps in their stores from non-official developers, and health and governmental officials stress the need to consult reputable sources when making decisions.
The World Health Organization is releasing regular updates as to the state of the COVID-19 pandemic around the world. Among its resources, the WHO also provides Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) training in terms of tabletop simulation exercises and online modules for clinicians, health care providers and other businesses in terms of infection prevention and control.
According to the WHO, the simulation package consists of:
- A participants’ guide and a facilitators’ guide to explain what is expected from the different people involved in the preparation and running of the exercise.
- A PowerPoint presentation to support the facilitation of the exercise and its subsequent debriefing
- A set of reference documents and technical guidance on 2019-nCov.
