International Security

October 1st marked the beginning of the 14th National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), founded by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Once only limited to the United States, the event has grown to include extensive international support, under the banner of Cyber Security Awareness Month (CSAM), and seeks to promote the concept that the Internet is both a shared resource and a shared responsibility.

“Each day, our world becomes increasingly connected. It is critically important for all digital citizens, governments and the private sector to work together to promote a safer, more secure and more trusted internet,” says Michael Kaiser, NCSA’s executive director. “NCSA is excited to partner with organizations around the world to foster a culture of cybersecurity through collaborative efforts that provide global citizens the information they need to be safe and more secure – now and in the future, as technology continues to evolve and advance.”

As part of Cyber Security Awareness Month, various event both online and in person will be held, including:

The 2017 Baltimore Cyber Security Summit

The Future of Authentication Policy Forum,

DC Cyberweek, and

The Cybersecurity Leadership & Strategy Executive Certificate Program
