While zero-day vulnerabilities or new malware attacks lead the news, older and simpler techniques remain big threats to organizations and individuals looking to maintain a strong cybersecurity defense. Not nearly as well publicized as the latest viruses, all of these threats can provide enough information to cybercriminals to hack into protected accounts or devices, according to Wired, and should be considered by both individuals and organizations when developing their security strategies.
