Some of her tips, and those of her colleagues, are below:
- Make sure plans are shared with employees.
- Ensure contact information is current and plan for lack of cell service.
- Communicate with vendors and stakeholders about adjusting deadlines in affected areas.
- Consider advancing payroll ahead of disasters for employees who may need access to funding, and distribute supplies.
- Provide counselling and support services after the natural disaster has passed for those affected.
